My husband loved it March 10, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loved it. He want more from Hank Haney.
Good Video January 27, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
The premise of this DVD is that the vast majority of golf shots are made with a driver, wedge, or putter. So those are the only clubs covered. Some good ideas here but This DVD won't totally turn your whole golf game around, which is what I need!
As expected, this is a very good instructional DVD. September 15, 2007 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I was most impressed by this DVD.
The instruction that Hank Haney provides in this DVD is in three parts; the Driver, the Wedge and the Putter. He claims, and I do not doubt him , that 75% of the shots played by professional golfers are with these clubs. The figure is possibly higher for amateurs. With better use of these clubs Mr Haney sees the prospect of a significant improvement in the scores of amateur players.
He explanations are first rate. They fully explain the reason for errant shots from each club; something some other coaches are seem reluctant to do for fear of over-complicating their presentation. I was most impressed with this coaches ability to avoid oversimplifying the lesson, but at the same time he does not make each lesson impossibly detailed.
I tried some ideas out on the driving range the day after I saw the DVD and found it immediately helpful.
I particularly liked the focus on the back of the left hand leading the clubface to an impact that is correctly aligned with the target, for not only the driver, but the wedge and putter as well.
I have watched many instructional dvd's and rate this amongst the best.
I also like Simon Holmes Digital Golf School. See my review. By the way, if you want to watch great golf, all the Ryder Cup DVD's are excellent as are the 1986 Masters, 1997 Masters and 2006 British Open.
