excellent video February 8, 2008 I found this DVD to be very helpful in taking my skiing to the next level, especially in the powder. As the DVD tells you, powder really requires a different technique and this DVD shows you the way. With the price of a ski lesson as much as it is today, this is money well spent!
Video really helps! Worth watching. You learn a lot! December 29, 2007 This video is a great follow up to the Breakthrough on Skiing I and III. while the first video in the series and the third really shows you how ski down the mountain, this one will make you feel more comfortable and learn some basic techniques for approaching bumps (moguls) and powder skiing. I'm not suggesting that the video will make you an expert but it will definitely make you feel more comfortable in both of the above mentioned situation. After just two viewing of the video I was able to approach the bumps and powder with much more confidence so that I could develop my skills and become a better more aggressive skier. This is a very mellow approach to skiing. The scenery is beautiful and the music in the video is very relaxing. Well worth watching and you will learn a lot too.
Great Help for skiers May 12, 2007 I have been skiing for over 35 years and am always looking to improve. This DVD is is a great help for anyone who wants to perform better on skis. He explains and demonstrates in a manner that is easy to follow. And then easy to put to the test on the slopes. Thank you for another great addtion to helping us all ski better!
Very good for intermediates March 11, 2007 I enjoyed this video. The visual demonstrations help me. I hesitated to buy this because it was created way back in 1995 and I thought it might be out of date--but it isn't. I have skied off and on for 30 years and I just took a 3 days class on bumps. What he covers in the tape, was the same as in my class and it served to reinforce what I learned. True, as the title says, it is "simplified" down to the basics. So don't expect a lot of complicated techniques. If you like learning visually, it is very pleasant. If you already are skiing bumps without problems, then don't bother.
Another great addition February 7, 2007 I will be brief and concentrate only on bumps because after watching this tape once, I believe you will have the basic knowledge to practice powder skiing. In this video, Lito truly simplifies the technique needed not to shy away from bumps. Try and watch the tape the day before and try his technique on a few bumps only and soon you should have the needed rhythm and skills to ski bumps. If you love skiing, then there is nothing more magical then going thru bumps like its nothing...
