Scripted by rapper Ice Cube, Friday is a no-frills tale of a typical day in the life of a pair of African American youth in South Central. Friday's one of those great cult classic movies of our time. It's hilarious. One to be enjoyed always.
Movie Review - FRIDAY April 18, 2008
I enjoyed this movie so much. I laughed until I hurt. Chris Tucker was just as funny with his movie debut in Friday as he was in other movies; Money Talks, Rush Hour, etc. This movie also brought out acting skills and exposure to some really young and funny stand-up comedians that I remember from Def Comedy Jam...Angela Means, Bernie Mac, Yvette Wilson. But the man to watch in this movie is Ice Cube. Although his personality in the music industry is serious, he is funny in this movie. It's a dry humor but he is a great actor and the story line true to life and creative. This movie is very entertaining for adults but keep it out of view from the kids.
